BE Automation & Robotics program prepares students for design, interface, installation, andtroubleshooting of industrial robots and automation systems. The main emphasis is on electronics, electrical controls, motors, programmable logic controllers, servo systems, robotics, hydraulics and pneumatics, andmechanical systems, among others. Students integrate electronics and electrical controls with mechanical systems and programmable controllers and explore alternative trade-offs in the process of problem-solving.

Graduating engineers will be competent to work and excel in national and international companies working on innovative technologicalprojects. Also, students are capable to pursue master program and research in leading universities. The department has state of the art laboratories which strive hard to meet the industry standards. In this direction, the department has signed MOU with Bosch Rexroth India Ltd. and Beckhoff Automation India Pvt. Ltd. to set upa Centre for Competency in industrial automation and PC based automation respective.
