The department of Civil Engineering is recognized as Research centre under VTU and KLE Technological University, offering Doctoral (Ph D) degree in Civil Engineering and M.Sc. (by Research). The objective is to inculcate research culture amongst the faculty and to provide solutions for local and regional issues in the field of Civil Engineering.
The research center has 5 recognized research supervisors and the department has produced 10 doctorates and 01 M.Sc (Research). To encourage research in state of art technologies, the department is engaged in Collaborative research with National and International organizations of repute.
The research activities in the Department of Civil Engineering focus on gaining expertise in providing sustainable solutions in two major domains of Civil Engineering.
