Welcome to the Library and Information Center

The Central Library existed in 1979 and shifted to the Silver Jubilee Building. “JNANA CHETANA,” in the year 2007. The library is centrally located on the campus, housed in an independent building with a carpet area of 1700 Sq. Mtrs has a total seating capacity of 350 students at a time.

The Library has over 1,10,200 volumes of Books with 27,800 Titles, which are updated regularly by way of adding new literature in the form of textbooks, reference books, reports, proceedings, encyclopedias, standards (National & International) Journals, Audio Visual resources, CDs, educational videos, IS Standards and thesis/reports.

The Central subscribes to 49 National and International printed Journals predominantly related to Engineering, Technology, Management, and allied subjects.

The Central Library is also subscribed to 188905 ebooks from EBSCO Academic Collection with EBSCO Business Elite sources. The Central Library collects ebooks from IEEE MIT Press, IEEE Wiley, McGraw-Hill Access Engineering, Pearson Education, PHI India, New Age International, McGraw-Hill Express, Elsevier publishers, CBS, and VIDEEYA ebooks perpetual access

The Library subscribes to 24637 full-text E-journals from IEEE, ASME, ASCE, EBSCO Management, EBSCO Art and Architecture, and Automotive Abstract.

The Library has automated its services using the KOHA- Integrated Library Management Software. It is an open-source and comprehensive package for effectively managing a library from all aspects. The library's online catalog and e-resources can be accessed on the campus network. All the resources have been completely barcoded, which helps with transactions, OPAC (online public access of catalogs) for book search & book reservations facilitated.

The library has RARE & specialized collections of books, nearly 1000 copies, 4700 bound volumes of journals since 1980, 3935 Compact Discs, and 200 IS standards’.

The primary services are open access to resource lending of books, reference/referral service, Indian standards, SC/ST book bank scheme, Special encouragement scheme for brilliant students, and Reprographic facilities.

The Digital Library set up in Central Library is well facilitated with a high bandwidth of 1000Mbps, and the complete Campus is Wi-Fi enabled.

The Library has facilitated remote access to e-resources through the services of the KNIMBUS Digital Library Platform with Remote Access Solution.

The Central Library provides a Technology Platform and Database of Plagiarism Checking Tools “Turnitin Web Tool,” GATE Tutor, and “Grammarly Check” in support of R & D activities for students and professionals; it also developed IRINS (Indian Research Information Network Systems) services of KLE Technological University.

The Central Library has institutional membership in DELNET and the NDLI National Digital Library of India.
