Library Membership

All faculty, students, research scholars, staff of the KLE Technological University Dr M S Sheshgiri Campus Belagavi, and other persons, with the special permission of the Chairman of the Library Advisory Board or the Librarian, are eligible to become library members. Membership application should be made using the prescribed form available from the library.

Books Lending

Lending service is available to faculty, students, administrators, researchers, and other KLE Technological University community staff members.

Student Lending Library

A total of 03 books from the Student Landing Library are issued to all UG and PG students for the complete semester.

Book Bank Scheme for Students

Books are issued to the students for the entire duration of a semester at a time. Preference has been given to SC & ST students and Low-income groups, and a maximum of 03 books are given to each student, depending on availability

Overnight Issues Books to The Students

Overnight books can be issued to the students against the Individual Identity card. A student can borrow one book overnight and return it by 10.00 AM the next day.

Interlibrary Loan Facility

The library is a member of the DELNET. It offers inter-library loan services to its users for books and journals unavailable in the KLE Technological University Dr. M S Sheshgiri Campus library by procuring them from several major institutions and libraries in India through the Developing Library Network (DELNET). The library also lends its resources to DELNET.

Reference Services

  • The Library maintains a separate reference collection consisting of encyclopedias,
  • dictionaries, directories, Competitive books, general books,
  • handbooks, technical data, almanacs, atlases,
  • bibliographies, curriculum books, etc.
  • Reference books are marked with an “R” symbol.

An SMS and email alert service provides the user community with their library transactions status and reminders for overdue transactions.

Photocopy of books with limited pages provided in the central library with minimal fees subject to copyright issues.

Digital / E-resources Services

The air-conditioned Digital Library facility is available for accessing the online resources of IEEE-IEL, Springer Link, ASME, ASCE, ACM Digital Library, EBCSO Host, Emerald, ACS, AIP, Oxford University Press, Sage Journals, CRC.NET, McGraw Hill, Pearson, Wiley, and Knimbus remote access. NPTEL and Delnet are IP-enabled and can be accessed anywhere on the campus.

Periodical Services

The library subscribes to many technical and general magazines and journals; these can be displayed branch-wise in the periodical section.

Current Awareness Service

To provide the latest information to its users, the library has a display screen for displaying the recent additions of Books, a List of journals received, announcements of library notices, and information about the library's statistics, conferences, seminars, and events.

User Awareness Programme Services

The library is organizing various awareness programs for users to learn about library resources, library services, good reading habits, creative events, and activities for maximum utilization. Any user interested in the library services should contact the In Circulation Counter.

Special Encouragement Scheme for Toppers Services

The students are facilitated with the books for an entire semester to encourage them to achieve better marks or scores.

Online Public Access Catalogue

Online catalog facility is available to users through the intranet and Internet. By clicking this link EPAC or URL: http://103.139.157.231/, the search page opens for searching library resources.

  • The main features of the EPAC are checking the availability of books by author,
  • title, keyword, etc., and finding loan periods, renews, or place holds.
  • Check your library account for what is issued and when the books are due.
  • To know new arrivals of books and magazines, digital subscription lists, etc.
