Statistical Tools for Engineers - Hands-on Workshop

The Department of Civil Engineering, KLE Technological University, Dr. M. S. Sheshgiri Campus, Belagavi organized FDP on “Statistical Tools for Engineers-Hands-on Workshop” from 2nd to 4th May 2024. FDP was inaugurated on 2nd May 2024. Dr. S. F. Patil Principal, highlighting the importance of Statistical tools in the field of Engineering Dr. S F Patil motivated the particpants to take benefit from the workshop and apply the knowledge gained to their domains. A total of 30 participants from various Engineering colleges attended. The resource persons were Dr. Muralidhara Anandamurthy, Academic Ambassador, Global Academic Division, JMP, SAS and Dr. Rajkumar V. Raikar, Professor and Dean R & D, KLE Technological University, Dr. M. S. Sheshgiri Campus, Belagavi.

Dr. R. V. Raikar in his sessions gave deep insight to theoretical aspects of descriptive and inferential statistics. Dr. Muralidhara gave hands on training to apply the statistical knowledge gained to analyze the real time data collected using JMP software. He also discussed optimisation techniques and design of experiments along with hands- on training. Also emphasis on custom design of experiments and its benefits in the current scenario were covered. Dr. M. Manjunath, HOD, Civil engineering Department was the convener of FDP. Dr. Nayana P. Hoolikantimath, Asst. Professor, Civil Dept. and Dr. Tejas Doshi, Asst. Professor, Civil Dept.were the Coordinators of FDP.
