Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulics Lab

The Laboratory caters to undergraduate students to conduct experiment on Discharge measurement, flow through pipes, etc. The laboratory spreads over an area of 210 sq.m. Students can visualize the theoretical concepts and experiments support the text covered in the class room. The laboratory has AICTE sponsored MODROB project. Advanced Hydrology trainer equipment, under MODROB project provides exposure of UG students to various experiments on hydrological components like Rainfall simulation, Flood Flow, Well Hydraulics etc.

• Apparatus for determination of Frictional and Other Losses in pipe lines.
• Single Stage and Multistage Centrifugal Pump Test Rig.
• Flow measuring devices like Venturi meter and orifice meter
• Different types of Turbines
• Venturi flume apparatus
• Flow visualizing apparatus
