Geotechnical Engineering Lab equipped with state of the art to identify the engineering behavior of geomaterials (soils, rocks) and industrial by products such as red mud, fly ash, mine tailing etc., This is also (fully) equipped with enough facility to handle soil exploration program in consultancy projects. The lab provides all facilities for UG & PG in the area of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, ground improvement, rock mechanics, geo-environmental engineering. The floor area is about 150 Sqm.

  • Plate Load Test Truss with accessories (50 Ton cap)

  • Field Compaction Control facility
  • Field Permeability test apparatus

Chemical Analysis:

  • Soil pH value
  • Soil Resistivity & Conductivity
  • Chloride content in soil
  • Sulphate content (Sodium Sulphate) in soil
  • Soil Chemical Composition

Rock Testing:

  • Core drilling machine
  • Point Load Index test equipment
  • Rock cradle & Ultrasonic rock hammer
