Sunil Koshy

Sunil Koshy is a techie turned Singer, Music Director and Vocal Coach.

Sunil Koshy completed his BE(Computer Science and Engineering) from KLE College of Engineering and Technology in the year 1999.

He started worked on compiler development and spent over 10 years before he became a professional musician and music entrepreneur.

Sunil Koshy worked as a compiler developer in Intel, and later went to learn music in a Gurukul in Chennai for 3 years. He got back to IT and worked with companies like HP, Unisys, and others, pursuing music and his job as a techie, in parallel, till he finally moved on to become a full time musician and music entrepreneur.

Sunil Koshy and his wife, Archana Hallikeri(also a techie), founded From Mug To Mike - a platform for amateur and bathroom singers and for music production.

Sunil Koshy has worked with legends like Hariharan, KS Chithra, Kumar Sanu, singer Srinivas, Jassie Gift, and many top musicians and lyricists (including Kumaar, Jayant Kaikini, Dr. Nagendra Prasad) of the country.

Sunil Koshy has composed music and sung for movies, albums, dance dramas, jingles and also acted in a couple of cameo roles in South Indian films.

Sunil is an award winning musician and singer, and has been featured and interviewed on most leading newspapers, TV, radio and other media including CNN-IBN, The Times Of India, The Economic Times, The Hindu, Deccan Herald, Malayala Manorama, Mathrubhumi, YourStory, Public TV, Manorama News TV, RedFM, Fever FM, among others.

Sunil has been honoured and recognized on many platforms for his work. Many great personalities have given testimonials to his work over the years.

A case study written on From Mug To Mike was recently selected by Ivey Publishing(Harvard and Ivey are the top two case study repositories) and is about to be published.

Sunil conducts corporate and college workshops to enable employee and student engagement through music and has collaborated

with Google, Infosys and other top corporations and for social causes with top organisations including NIMHANS.

Sunil was awarded Karnataka International Music Award(KIMA) for Best Singer (Non-Filmi) for audio film ‘Reboot’(Kannada) in 2013. ‘Reboot’ tells the story of a techie through six songs and short dialogues and background music.

Sunil was awarded BCKA Eminent Musician Award at Chowdiah Memorial Hall by Her Majesty Pramoda Devi Wodeyar and Dr. K. Radhakrishnan, ex-ISRO Chairman and other dignitaries in 2018.
