A Guest Talk conducted the topic "Development and Opportunities in the Space Sector” on 1st December 2023. Shri. Sanjeev C. Gour, Senior Scientist- SG, ISRO, MCF, Hassan was the guest of honor. Prof. Savita Hanji coordinated the event.

A guest lecture on “Women in Data Science” conducted on 22nd December 2023. The resource person was Dr. Sujata C, Professor, School of Computer Science and Engineering, KLE Technological University, Hubballi. Dr. Prema Akkasaligar coordinated the event.

Dhiraj Angadi, VI semester B.E. of our department is runner up of “TCS Tech Bytes” a state level IT Quiz event Finals was held on 5/4/2023 at Bangalore. Received the Prize amount of Rs.50000/-.

• Miss. Riya Kakodkar, Chandan P. Satwani, Chandsab Engineer of IV semester B.E. attended the “3D Computer Vision Summer School – 2023” at IIIT, Hyderabad.
• Miss. C Spoorthi of VI semester student participated in “Summer School on Graphics & Vision” supported by Mohit Aron Endowment Fund held from 5th June to 14th July 2023 at Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

Shreedhar Muchandikar of V semester B.E. secured 1st place in CHESS at JJWS 2022 (Under Rotary Club of Belagavi) held at Jain Heritage School, Belagavi. Vishnu Hulikatti and Anusha Kudachi of III semester B.E. students have secured First place in State Level Techno-Cultural Fest Savishkar-2023 in Shark Tank event held on 9th & 10th January 2023 at JCE&R Udyambag, Belagavi.

Vishnu Hulikatti and Anusha Kudachi of III semester B.E. presented an idea on topic “Automatic EV Charging Power Station” this idea is being in the top 10 ideas presented in “Made in Bengaluru – Start-Up-Jam” during January 2023.

A Peer to Peer workshop on “Titbits of Markupz” conducted under CSI chapter on 10th & 11th February 2023 for the students. Prof. Savita Bakare & Dr. Santosh Pattar coordinated the workshop. Our Students Mr. Dhruv Patil, Mr. Rashid Nadaf, Ms. Varshini Agasagi, Mr. Vishwa Angolkar, Mr. Swapnil Mannurkar, Mr. Vinayak Hiremath, Mr. Adinath Nikam delivered the speech on various topics.

Workshop on “Statistical Discovery Using JMP®” conducted for the faculty members of our college by Dr. Muralidhara, JMP Global Academic Team on 30th & 31st March 2023. Dr. Rajashri Khanai coordinated the workshop.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized Hands-on Workshop on Exploratory Data Analysis for of 4th Semester CSE students on 6th July, 2023, through its CSI Student Branch. Dr. Muralidhara Anandamurthy, Head, Academic Program at JMP was invited as the resource person for the workshop. As an outcome of this workshop, students were given project ideas and a poster presentation for the same was held on 22 July, 2023.
