Overview

Civil Engineering has a broad domain, among the important subdivisions are Construction Engineering, Structural Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Soil and Foundation Engineering,

Environmental Engineering, Geodetic Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, and Coastal & Ocean engineering.

The Department of Civil Engineering presently offers undergraduate program with a intake of 60 students and two post graduate program in Structural Engineering and Environmental Engineering. The department is also having a research centre for pursuing full time/part time Ph. D. Program.

The Department has MoU with National Institute of Hydrology, New Delhi, National Highway Authority of India, New Delhi and other premier organizations for collaborative research and student internship.

The Department provides consultancy services in the following areas: Material testing, Structural design and proof checking, Geo-technical investigations, Water &Wastewater Quality Analysis, Traffic Surveys, Pavement Design & evaluation Testing and NDT Testing Facilities. The faculty are also involved in Third party Inspections, preparation of DPR for governmental and non-governmental organizations.

  • The department has produced 10 doctorates, presently 02 in-house and 08 from other institutes are pursuing research. The research center has 6 recognized research supervisors.
  • 95% of passing in UG and 100% in PG for the last 5 years with 5 University Ranks.
