SoECE is equipped with multimedia enabled classrooms, design studios and laboratories that cater to the varying needs of curriculum delivery. Initiatives like Flipped classrooms, integrated learning and brain storming sessions are conducted using these facilities.

State of the art software available to the students on high performance computer hardware. Some of the major EDA tools and hardware with their respective area of usage are listed below

  • MatLAB: Campus wide unlimited license for Model Based Design (MBD) of automotive electronic subsystems, co-simulation with AUTOCAD for product development.
  • Cadence: Analog and Digital VLSI design
  • OrCAD: System design software including circuit simulation, PCB design and test
  • LabVIEW: Design and realization of transreciever systems using Software Defined Radio (SDR) in communication lab
  • Vector CANalyzer: Analysis and stimulation of bus communication in automotive electronic systems
  • Xilinx software and Virtex/Spartan FPGA boards for design and development of Digital VLSI systems
  • Keil IDE and ARM Cortex project and evaluation boards for embedded hardware design and development
  • Quanser hardware boards for design, development and realization of control systems
  • National Instruments CompactRIO, MyRIO range of embedded boards for rapid prototyping of electronic systems
