Overview

Architects use art, science, and technology to shape how we interact by designing environments that are aesthetically pleasing, structurally sound, and responsive to the needs of the people who use them.

The five-year Bachelor of Architecture program prepares students with an early interest in architecture to become leading professional practitioners. Basic conceptual skills are emphasized early on, along with introducing the fundamental skills of architecture.

The program curriculum pairs a core design studio sequence with relevant architecture history, technology courses. Along with the faculty, visiting practitioners conduct formal reviews of the student works and discuss their work in the field. Design studios at each level immerse students in design culture, helping them develop creative problem solving and critical thinking skills. As part of their studies, students must do a six-month internship with practicing architects to gain real-world experience.
